What the letters on Canadian flower actually mean
Every shop in the country grades bud with letters, and every shop sets its own bar for them. There is no board handing out certificates. What the letters describe is the bag — density, frost, trim, nose — not the buzz, and not a lab number.
Ours run like this.

The jump that matters most is AA to AAAA. Doubling the ounce price buys you noticeably denser bud, a nose you can smell through the bag, and far less loose leaf to pick out of the grinder.
Cheap ounces in Toronto, and what you give up
An ounce at $100 is real weed. It is not pretty weed.
At the AA rung you get smaller, looser nugs and a quieter smell. It burns clean and it lasts, which is the whole point — this is the tier for people who smoke daily and would rather not think about it. Pick of the day (Lows) rotates whatever value lot came in that morning, and Hash Bomb is the named option at the same price, indica-dominant with CBD in it.
Move up one rung and Pick of the day (Mids) sits in the AAA band at $150 an ounce, or $40 for a quarter if you want to see it first.
What’s on the shelf right now
Most of our named jars are AAAA. A few stand apart.
- Cereal Milk LSO — the only 5-Star on the shelf. Grown in living soil, dense and trichome-heavy, $50 an eighth or $300 for the ounce.
- Pink Pablo GAS — gas-forward and indica-dominant, from the Pink Kush family. The heavy end of our AAAA range.
- Ice Cream Runtz — vanilla cream and sweet dough, indica-leaning, from Ice Cream Cake crossed with White Runtz.
- Purple Space Cookies — grape candy and diesel, royal purple leaf, heavy frost.
- Pick of the day (Highs) — our top rung rotated daily, whichever AAAA lot smells loudest on the bench that morning.
If you want the frost without the strain name, the rotating tiers are the cheaper route to the same grade. You just don’t get to choose what shows up.

The Golden Goat 7-pack and the Oreoz 7-pack are plain flower, rolled — $40 for seven grams. The infused ones step up sharply: 0.5g infused at $50, or the 1g infused at $95, with live resin and kief worked in. There’s also the moonrock single at $15 if you want to try one before buying seven.
How much is an ounce of weed in Toronto?
Between $100 and $300 here, depending on grade. That spread is the honest answer, and any shop quoting one number for “an ounce” is quoting one grade and hoping you don’t ask which.
Per gram it works out from about $3.60 at AA to about $10.70 at 5-Star. Buying smaller costs more per gram — that’s true everywhere — so the ounce is where the value sits if you already know what you like.
Getting it to your door
We deliver across Toronto, seven days a week, noon until 23:00. Delivery is $50 minimum, free over $70. Most drops land in about two hours.

What does AAAA mean in weed?
It’s the top of the common Canadian letter scale, describing dense, frosted, tightly trimmed bud with a strong smell. It’s a shop’s own assessment of appearance and nose, not a lab result, and standards vary between shops.
How much is an ounce of weed in Toronto?
On our shelf, $100 at AA up to $300 for 5-Star living soil, with AAAA at $200. Prices below about $80 an ounce usually mean trim or old stock.
Is cheap weed worse weed?
Cheaper flower is smaller, looser and less aromatic. It is still cured, still burns clean, and still does the job. What you give up is appearance, smell and a bit of potency, not safety.
What is the smallest amount I can order?
An eighth, at $40 for AAAA or $50 for 5-Star. AAA starts at a quarter for $40 and AA starts at a half for $60. Note the either way.
What is living soil flower?
Cannabis grown in a living soil bed rather than fed through inert medium. Growers use it for terpene depth and flavour. Our only living-soil jar is Cereal Milk LSO.
How should I store flower?
Airtight, out of light, at room temperature. Heat and sunlight strip terpenes fastest, which is why weed that smelled loud in the bag can smell like nothing two weeks later on a windowsill.
What’s the difference between indica, sativa and hybrid?
A rough guide to effect rather than a botanical fact. Indica-leaning jars are usually the heavier, later-in-the-day pick, sativa-leaning ones lighter and more social, hybrids somewhere between. You can filter the shelf by strain type.
Do you deliver flower same day?
Yes, within about two hours across Toronto, noon to 23:00. Order after last call and it goes out the next day.
What is the difference between smalls and regular flower?
Smalls are the little nugs from the bottom of the plant. Same lot, same grade of cure, smaller pieces and a lower price. Astro Cake is our smalls option.
Can I mix grades in one order?
Yes. Mixing an ounce of AA for daily smoking with an eighth of something loud is the most common order we send out.
Do I need ID?
Yes. Someone 19 or over must be at the door with government photo ID. The driver can’t leave an order without it.
What’s the minimum order?
$50. Delivery is free once you pass $70.
