Where the Sunset Sherbet strain comes from
Sunset Sherbet crosses Girl Scout Cookies with Pink Panties. Leafly credits the breeding to Mr. Sherbinski, the San Francisco name behind a whole shelf of dessert genetics.
His given name is Mario Guzman. He put Sunset Sherbet out first, then used it to build Gelato.
That second part is the interesting bit. A lot of today’s dessert strains trace back through this plant.
High Times calls Guzman “the renowned creator of designer cannabis genetics, Sunset Sherbert, Gelato, and the Gelato lineage.”
The magazine covered the opening of his flagship shop in Los Angeles. Not many breeders get their own name over a storefront.
One note on spelling. Sherbet and Sherbert both point at the same plant.
What a dessert strain actually means
Dessert strain is shop shorthand, not botany. It points at plants in the Cookies and Gelato family, where the flavour reads sweet and creamy instead of piney or fuel-heavy.
Sunset Sherbet sits close to the middle of that family. Girl Scout Cookies is the parent that put it there, and Pink Panties brought the fruit.
What the Sunset Sherbet THC vape pen feels like
Indica-dominant means the body clocks it first. Warmth settles across the shoulders and the room gets quieter without going dark.
The head stays clear enough to hold a conversation. That’s the Cookies side of the family showing up.
- Feels like: relaxed, talkative, a little dreamy.
- Best for: the back half of an evening, a film, a slow dinner.
- Poor fit: an early meeting, or a day with a drive in it.
Appetite tends to follow an hour in. Keep something sweet within reach and the pen makes more sense.
Our take on the Sunset Sherbet pen
The first draw earns the name. Sweet cream up front, a berry note behind it, and a thin citrus edge on the exhale that keeps the whole thing from tasting flat.
The calm builds slowly for us. It shows up in the jaw and shoulders, then spreads out over ten minutes or so.
- Draw: smooth, no scratch at the back of the throat.
- Flavour: cream first, berry second, citrus on the finish.
- Feel: warm and mellow rather than heavy.
One honest limit: this pen lands soft. Buyers after real couch weight get more of it from our Grape Ape pen.
Willo and the Sunset Sherbet disposable vape
Willo makes and packs its products in Toronto, and says so on its own site. The catalogue runs from gummies and chocolates through tinctures to vapes.
- This tier: 1100mg strain pens, named after the plant.
- Sibling line: JUICY, six 1100mg fruit pens.
- Flagship: 2000mg pens with a 2ml tank.
- House rule on the oil: purity first, nothing added to thin it.
Two lanes run through our disposable vape flavours. Strain pens chase a named plant, fruit pens chase candy.
How strong is this 1100mg vape pen?
The oil sits at 98% cannabinoids with nothing thinning it, so every draw pulls the same strength from first to last.
Vapour arrives fast. Effects turn up within minutes and run 1-3 hours, which makes the pace easy to read.
- First time: one short draw, then ten minutes of patience.
- Regular vapers: two or three draws covers an evening.
- Level: friendly for a careful starter at one draw.
The 1100mg figure sizes the tank, not the hit. One pull off a big tank lands the same as one pull off a small one, so the number buys sessions rather than strength.
Pace beats maths here. Short draws with a gap between them keep an evening where you meant to leave it.
How to use the Sunset Sherbet pen
- Inhale on the mouthpiece. Airflow fires the coil, so no button exists.
- Keep pulls short and let the coil cool between them.
- Charge over mini USB, only until the light settles.
- Stand it upright at room temperature, away from kids and pets.

How the Sunset Sherbet THC vape pen compares
Four neighbours sit near it on our disposable vape pens shelf. Type and tank size make the call.
| Product | Potency | Type | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sunset Sherbet 1100mg (this pen) | 1100mg | Indica-dominant | Dessert flavour with an easy, mellow evening. |
| Kush Mintz 1100mg | 1100mg | Hybrid | Mint and gas in place of cream and berry. |
| Blue Cookies 1100mg | 1100mg | Indica-dominant | The other cookie cross, darker and jammier. |
| Gelato Mintz 2000mg | 2000mg (2ml) | Hybrid | Dessert flavour again, with a 2ml tank. |
| Cherry Wine CBD 1100mg | 1100mg CBD | Non-intoxicating | Evening calm with no high attached. |
Pick this one for the cream-and-berry side of the menu. Step up to the 2000mg tier when re-ordering gets old, and cross to the CBD pen on nights you want a clear head.
Prefer hardware you keep? Our 510 thread battery pairs with every cartridge on the shelf, and one battery outlives a stack of pens.
Common questions
Is Sunset Sherbet indica or sativa?
Indica-dominant. Sunset Sherbet crosses Girl Scout Cookies with Pink Panties, and the calm side wins out without the pen turning heavy. Willo labels this one an indica for that reason.
What is a disposable vape?
A disposable vape is a sealed pen with the oil, coil, and battery built into one body. You draw on it to fire it, and the pen is finished once the tank runs dry. Nothing refills.
Is this disposable vape rechargeable?
Yes, over mini USB. Willo fits the port so a flat battery never strands 1100mg of oil inside the pen. Power comes back on a charge, the distillate does not.
Is Sunset Sherbet related to Gelato?
It's a parent of Gelato. Mr. Sherbinski bred Sunset Sherbet first, then used it in the cross that produced Gelato, which is why the two share a creamy dessert character.
